This position is working on our Bayu-Undan offshore facilities project. About your new opportunity:

Currently we are seeking to hear from experienced General Services Operators to provide a high-quality service within our client embedded team. Predominately our GSO’s oversee and completes facility lifting and marine boat operations in a safe manner and in line with Crane Operator competencies. 

What your priorities for the role are: 

  • Build relationships with Timor-Leste Trade Trainees, provide guidance, and assist in the ongoing development of competencies to an intermediate level.
  • Operate cranes to the specific requirements of the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Safely carry out deck and lifting operations within a marine environment.
  • Platform lifts, load and unloading of supply boats.
  • Carry out daily routine checks on the crane in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance procedures and site-specific pre-start checklist.
  • Complete routine first line maintenance duties including but limited to greasing, lubrication and machinery maintenance in accordance with relevant manufactures recommendations.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in routine maintenance and repair activities.
  • Establish and maintain open, honest and positive communication to enable capacity development of multi-cultural personnel.
  • Ensure trade discipline understand safety requirements, key performance indicators, quality standards and time frames required to complete scope of works.
  • Enable opportunities for the completion of competency development, evidence recording and sign off.
  • Assisting operations as required for safe offtake operations.

 

What is it you will bring to the table:

  • Considerable demonstrated experience in a similar role offshore
  • Experience in the marine environment with exposure to planning and safe completion of offtake operations is essential.
  • Current (T/BOSIET or FOET)
  • Enter & Work in Confined Space
  • Breathing Apparatus
  • Atmospheric Gas Testing
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Heli Landing Officer
  • High Risk Work Licence
  • Offshore Crane Operation Certification, Dogging & Rigging VOCs will be highly regarded.
